Waterbury (CDP), Vermont

Waterbury (CDP), Vermont Waterbury is an unincorporated village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Waterbury, Washington County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,897 at the 2020 census. The former village of Waterbury was dissolved in 2017, and its governmental functions were merged with the town of Waterbury.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village had a total area of 1.9 square miles (5.0 km2), of which 1.9 square miles (4.9 km2) were land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 2.31%, were water.





== Demographics ==



As of the census of 2000, there were 1,706 people, 793 households, and 409 families residing in the village. The population density was 958.9 people per square mile (370.1/km2). There were 823 housing units at an average density of 462.6/sq mi (178.5/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 97.30% White, 0.23% Black or African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.88% Asian, 0.41% from other races, and 1.00% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.59% of the population.

There were 793 households, out of which 25.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 39.1% were married couples living together, 9.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 48.4% were non-families.
